The setting, in fact is nearly perfect. Nestled on a very private point of land facing west with 370 feet of shoreline, with a sought-after level lot. This excellent shoreline is one to three feet in depth –friendly for little beginner swimmers and noodle waders, too! The glistening water at the shoreline is a mix of stone and sandy silt., how wonderful…The Cedar Deck, constructed in 2007 offers a 20 x 20’ space with bench setting – the perfect place to enjoy an alfresco Dinner enjoyed with a panoramic view of the Lake as well as the fabulous Sunsets, does it get any better? A Storage shed lets you safely store your lakefront gear.
The Double Garage offers additional storage - perhaps for your new Seadoo, colourful Kayaks and of course the Bikes , by the way this is a great place to bike… Note that the Garage had new shingles installed in 2007. |

FYI - This very private setting is quite unique, being located on a “no through way” private road with the Lower Rideau Lake being the only neighbour on 3 sides. A dense tree line separates you from the adjacent full -time residence. The opposite side of the Island (across the Lake) is not suitable for development therefore no buildings, noise or confusion of inhabitants only the sounds of the Loon, how marvellous is that! Great boating and fishing at your doorstep.
The adjacent locks include;
Poonamalie near Smith Falls, Narrows which is located between Big Rideau Lake and Upper Rideau Lake, and Beveridge’s Lock which is on the Tay River and is your exit to Perth. Also there will be an inspection for the septic tank on July 21st. If pumping is needed the owners have agreed to take care of it, giving you one more reason to come and enjoy this carefree retreat. |
